Transport Emergency Response Plan

The course

It teaches attendees how to write or improve upon your company’s TERP. A TERP is a requirement under the Dangerous Goods Code. Companies engaged in the handling of dangerous goods must have a properly document TERP.

Recognition

At the completion of this three day course, attendees will receive a nationally recognised certificate of competency in transport emergency response planning. They will have a thorough understanding of how to construct and maintain a TERP and will have done this over a three day intensive course with attendees from other transport companies and relevant organisations.

Who should attend

Individuals within companies who are responsible for the writing and maintenance of their company’s TERP would strongly benefit from this course. To date almost 200 individuals have attended course from transport operators, oil companies, regulatory agencies and manufacturers.

Pre qualifications

There are no pre qualifications. Individuals within companies who feel this course is relevant are able to attend.

Locations and dates

Courses are normally run at TISC, near Canberra Airport. Courses can be run at other locations in other States, subject to arrangement. Normal class sizes are 10 to 12 individuals but more can be accommodated.

17 − 19 September 2012

Course costs

The cost of the three day course is in the order of $2000 per person plus GST (This is dependent upon the numbers enroled in each course)
